Simsolo Christmas is one of the first serious critics to look at the work of Italian westerner in a now famous article in The Journal of Cinema Image and Sound , No. 275 of September 1973. My Name is Nobody, whose shooting ends only, is now in post production.

Leone landmark article Simsolo and the two men become friends, even weave of family relationships. Sergio Leone loves Paris and often drags chip market, as he explains on French television.
Conversations with Sergio Leone comes from a series of interviews current recorded 1986-1987 (?), and released by Film Stock in June 1987. We now know that Sergio Leone tells a lot of tall tales to his interlocutor (illegal exit and summer A Fistful of Dollars operated in fact quite normal, after the censorship 01/09/1964 at SuperCinéma Florence; self-attribution of some of the best sequences My Name is Nobody , created by Tonino Valerii, New Mexico, where Leone was not ....)
But the book is fascinating . Leone reveals himself to his practice of cinema, his childhood and training, intuitive or conceptual genesis of his films, although it is probably even harder to unravel truths and lies.
Leone joined Orson Welles in the way it builds and tells its own legend, that of a genuine creator of forms of cinema.
Leone was also the assistant for a day of Welles in Rome, and longer than Emile Couzinet at its studios in Bordeaux sponsorships strangely different and less well known that that of Vittorio De Sica.
The book loop on the evocation of the opening of apocalyptic Leningrad, the last project ever shot of Sergio Leone: A colossal cinema back to origins, and one where Steve Reeves Rory Calhoun to come after the fury of the earth and the harsh elements ( The Last Days of Pompeii , The Colossus of Rhodes .)
Leone died April 30, 1989. France Culture then the good idea to run some time after all the recordings made by Christmas Simsolo.
Les Cahiers du Cinema, who in their time, written by Sylvie Pierre, in 1968, had been interested in Leone, reissued in paperback in 1999 Conversation Sergio Leone. So without "s" you can still get .
