In preparation for the transfer of Paleontology collections, the management unit of Paleontology collections continued reflection on the history of its collections.
Since the scientific work on the specimens also requires to have all the information attached to the collections (documentation about the object, the museum field, the search under study) is also called a tightening essential before all transfers and redeployment of collections. The goal ultimately is to have all the information on the collections to perpetuate the scientific work. In a story that remains to be written and specific examples from the study day in Paleontology proposes to reflect on what is, in its material and intellectual aspects, a scientific collection.

Association Long live! What happens
Since the strike began at The Association January 10 - those who have not heard can read a summary of not taking part (they are rare) here - I've refrained from comments, hallucinated itself by the turn things were taking. As a wrestling match, we had an employee-side in-their-right-right ... well supported by everyone, and the other the Mephistophelian Jean-Christophe Menu that has even invented bird flu if he had an idea ... Media exposure of a hand forcefully emails, articles, petitions, parties support one side; silence on the other.
I know obviously not all the details - let alone the protagonists in this case - and I'm just a reader-admirer of the Association. But why, today, prefer, within a structure as atypical as the association, the conflict in the negotiation? Why throw it all in an arena where people who know nothing come inept swing advice in a clear intention of manipulation? What right or defense or anything very clean could justify the attacks ad personam and insult?
I tend - with no advice or expertise required in this particular situation, I repeat - to think that what counts is that such firms continue publishing. This is essential, it is vital. What counts today more than ever, to resist. The flow of uniformity, to piss pots economic reforms in the gloom. That is to say - in this particular case - to publish. Supporting sponsors. To support the books.
I guess my position would be misunderstood by some but hey, they just read these lines, I think I clearly explained, I just have a hard time with the media that mixtures draped in a so-called good political awareness. It is not taking sides, defending the boss versus employee ... but just do not get caught up in generalizations of this kind where the problems are quite different ... and especially that there are solutions to find or invent.
I have faith in the intelligence and talent of the whole team, so Vive L'Association, its sponsors, its employees, Jean-Christophe Menu.

In 1999, the French Cinematheque showed a new copy, dazzling, long version of C'era una volta il West , from Italy: the copy used by CVC?
We are far from the recent and very disappointing restoration proposed by Martin Scorcese and the Bologna Cinematheque, posted by Carlotta France, too short and mostly completely underexposed: all whites have turned blue, the light becomes cold most of the time. The image is out of sync as the lyricism of the notes of Ennio Morricone.
With luck, the amateur can still find here and there this year CVC, 2002. It is the indispensable reference for what was the movie in the cinema and probably in the spirit of Sergio Leone.
